We identify risks, dependencies and operational requirements before they become urgent. The objective is not merely to solve problems, but to prevent avoidable problems from arising.
Professional artist management
MIANKA builds, coordinates and manages the professional organisation surrounding the artist.
Professional management
The public sees the performances, the recordings and the headlines.
Behind every successful career exists an organisation responsible for strategy, finance, legal affairs, touring, media relations, commercial partnerships, production, administration and hundreds of daily decisions that allow the artist to focus on creating and performing.
At MIANKA, we see artist management as the responsibility of building, coordinating and operating that organisation.
Professional management is not defined by one particular discipline. It is defined by the ability to understand how every discipline influences the others and to make them work together towards the same objective.
The relationship
The artist remains the creative force, the owner of the brand and the ultimate decision-maker. The artist defines the vision, the ambitions and the direction of the career.
MIANKA analyses opportunities, identifies risks, evaluates alternatives and provides the experience required for informed decision-making. Our role is to ensure that every important decision is based on the best available information.
The final decision will always belong to the artist.
The organisation
The artist is the brand.
The music is the product.
MIANKA buildsthe organisation.
A successful international artist operates in much the same way as a successful company. Around the creative work exists an organisation responsible for finance, legal affairs, operations, communications, production, marketing, commercial development and long-term planning.
Within a corporation these responsibilities are distributed across several departments. MIANKA brings those functions together around the artist and ensures that each one supports the same direction.
Experience without boundaries
Many of the challenges surrounding an international artist are identical to those faced by global companies operating in highly competitive markets.
Strategic planning, business development, financial management, commercial negotiations, legal affairs, communications, operations and organisational leadership follow the same fundamental principles regardless of industry.
MIANKA therefore combines experience from the international entertainment business with expertise developed over decades within global corporations, professional services firms and Fortune 500 companies.
Our responsibility is to provide the artist with the strongest available expertise, regardless of where that expertise was acquired.
A daily operation
The daily work of management is operational. It involves coordinating people, negotiating agreements, managing schedules, supervising productions and supporting every practical part of the artist’s professional activity.
That may include travel, accommodation, ground transportation, rehearsals, riders, studio bookings, producers, music videos, merchandise, broadcast licences and event recording permissions.
It also includes financial administration, contracts, licensing, sponsorships, investors, press, television, radio and coordination with record labels, booking agents, promoters, lawyers and commercial partners.
Whether a function is performed internally or by a selected specialist, MIANKA remains responsible for ensuring that the work is coordinated and that the artist does not have to manage the organisation personally.
How we work
We identify risks, dependencies and operational requirements before they become urgent. The objective is not merely to solve problems, but to prevent avoidable problems from arising.
We examine the available information, alternatives, consequences and commercial implications before presenting a recommendation to the artist.
We bring the relevant people, resources and professional disciplines together and ensure that every part of the organisation works towards the same objective.
We remain involved when decisions become schedules, negotiations, productions, campaigns, contracts, travel plans and daily operational work.

Each assignment requires a different combination of expertise. MIANKA determines what is needed and builds the appropriate structure around the artist.
